Paris Saint-Germain striker Ousmane Dembele is set to take home the 2025 Ballon d'Or, the award given to the footballer who has the most impressive season of the year, according to betting odds.

Currently, the odds on cryptocurrency prediction market platform Polymarket for Dembele to win the prestigious award are 33.6%. The volume of bets on the topic has reached $821,245.

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah is second among the contenders with a 19% chance of winning the Ballon d'Or, while Barcelona striker Rafinha and midfielder Lamine Jamal have scored 14% and 12.7%. The ceremony will take place on October 27.

Interestingly, just a week ago Rafinha was the clear favourite with a 20% chance, putting him ahead of Dembele with 13.2%, while Yamal and Salah were given 11.7% and 7% respectively.

However, Barcelona's exit after a 4-3 defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-finals has understandably affected the chances of Yamal and Rafinha. Salah's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, on the other hand, have been significantly improved by Liverpool's 5-1 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur on April 27.
