On February 17, 2025, the English Channel 4 will premiere the documentary "Finding Satoshi: The Mysterious Creator of Bitcoin ". It promises to reveal the identity of the founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

The channel's statement said the fun, journalistic, "gonzo-like" project aims to establish who the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto really was.

Executive producer Will Anderson added that the investigative journalism has evolved from a manhunt for a specific person into a surreal journey in search of a possible conspiracy by a group of powerful Silicon Valley figures aimed at undermining democracy and financial freedom.

The Channel 4 documentary will initially be released on YouTube as five 20-minute clips. Once presented on YouTube, the clips will be combined into a full-length documentary, which is scheduled to premiere on television in early March.

It should be noted that last year, a documentary about Satoshi Nakamoto premiered on the HBO platform. Its authors said that one of the Bitcoin Core developers, Peter Todd, was hiding under the pseudonym, who later denied the information that he created Bitcoin and sued HBO.
